Corrugated applique fish.

Room3 has been learning about sustainability so we have been making applique fish to hang underneath the netting which represents the river. To make the fish we had to get a piece of corrugated cardboard and draw a fish shape on the smooth side.We cut out our fish shape and made sure we have the corrugated on the right side.  Lastly we painted the backround of the fish with a light colour of our choice. The next day it was dry so we disign a patten on the fish.  I drew 3 triangles on one side and 3 twirly lines on the other side. The triangles represent the fins and and the twirly lines represent the gills.  After we completing this activity we had to sew the to sides of the fish together but we have to leave some space so we could stuff the fish with newspaper. We sewed it all up and then we hung the fish using a long string.

The Singing Stars

Hooray! The day has arrived. The singing pop stars have come to broadlands school so they can audition. Everybody was vocative to hear the singers magnificent  voice. We were all thrilled to hear their beautiful, sweet voices that sweapt us off our feet.  Before they auitioned they had to sing a song of their choice to room 3. Everybody was clapping. We thought that they all will make it in for a part in our school production. Whaea Margo and Mrs Sutherland are the judges and are going to pick the finalist.
